The Committee - running the club

The committee meets some 4 times a year, to discuss just about anything to do with the club. All meetings are at the AWMA hall, at 19:30, on Tuesdays.

The Chairman of the club committee is Malcolm Myhill. His job is to ensure that the Club runs smoothly, in addition to chairing committee meetings and the agm.

Nick Beeson is the Secretary and is responsible for all membership queries. He receives details of competitions and changes to the rules of archery and ensures that such notices are put on the club notice board.

He is also responsible for keeping all the club records. He receives all the score sheets so that he can work out handicaps and classification. he submits records to the GNAS and awards badges.

The Treasurer, Paul Chapman, ensures that all money collected is banked and payments made promptly. He also prepares the Club accounts at the end of the year.

The Coaching Organiser is Brian Furneaux. He is responsible for organising all the coaching requirements at the club, from beginner to expert, as well as arranging beginners’ courses.

The Public Relations Officer is Neil Cundall, who produces and distributes information about the club and its achievements to any interested parties
The Competitions Secretary, Nick Beeson again, is responsible for organising the Club competitions and shooting schedule.

We have an Equipment Officer, Cedric Abbott, who maintains all the club equipment, and ensures that it is replaced when necessary.

The Social Secretary, Carolyn Chapman, ensures that the inner archer is well catered for, at all club events. The junior club rep. Matthew Arnold, brings the ambitions and concerns of members of the junior club to the committee.

The committee is completed by the President, Jean Clarkson and two other members, Ron Guest and Lis O'Carroll
